Try this first please> unplug the power cord to your BT internet modem, then reconnect the power cord, then while the modem is powering back on, reboot your computer. Then after everything is rebooted open your email again and check please. Let me know the error message if it fails again please.

error message is exactly the as couldn't log onto the email server using authenticated POP To change this logon setting,in the folder list,right clickon the account name and then click properties on the short cut menu In the properties dialogue click the server tab and then under incoming mail server select logon option. This is Windows advice. I want to know where is the folder list to right click on
