Signed a private contract agreeing to sell some land and received a deposit over 10years ago the buyers never completed the agreement but still claim the land is theres. It is still on our escutyria as it was never signed in front of a notary. Where do we stand. Its rural land no buildings
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
The land amount is 25,000 sq metres , and they have told us they have sold it on as because its that amount deeds are not required.

Hi. José M. Spanish attorney. Spanish law says in case of deposit that buyer gets the right to get his deposit in double and the seller keep it depending on who has not finished the contract. So if you recibed the deposit so long time ago they have lost all their rights.

Need to know if they still have a claim to the land and if the contract is still legal.

They have no way to ask for nothing, land or deposit. No rights at all.
