Are green fees for non profit making members clubs exempt from VAT
Hello,
HMRC has not yet published an official response to the decision by the court that all supplies by non-profit-making clubs of the right to play golf must be exempt and that it was not possible to apply a general exclusion which narrows the scope of the exemption.
In other words, green fees are exempt.
HMRC has held that non members had to pay VAT while members were exempt.
