I am a PAYE employee who gets commission every month, recently my commissions have been over 4k, plus basic of 25k p/a. After tax is deducted I don't get that much (am trying to save for deposit) I will shortly have a few months of 10 and 20 in commission- is there any thing I can do for these not to be taxes so highly?
I have worked out that after earning 22 il only see 12 of it hit my pocket!
Hello and welcome to the site. Thank you for your question.

Please clarify for me..
Is the commission figure per month?

Many thanks.

Yes it is
Daniel, thank you for your prompt reply.

You can earn upto £32,010 a year after your personal allowance of £9,440 before you start paying tax at 40%

This equates to £2,667 net or £3,454 gross per month.
Anything over that would suffer tax at 40% and there is very little you can do about it, I'm afraid.

As you are an employee, your tax is deducted under PAYE.

This may not be the answer you were looking for but these are the facts.

I hope this is helpful and answers your question.
