Customer Question

CT600 Box ac60 and AC61 problem.
These baxes automatically calculate Net Current Assets (Liabilities). For some reason the form I have is saying that I cannot have a negative number in these boxes, including last year's submission. Is this a glitch or has something changed? Yours G

Hello and welcome to the site. Thank you for your question.

There must be a glitch as the forms have not changed. You can have negative figures in boxes AC60 and AC61 if your creditors exceed current assets.

You may have to save your file, exit and come back to it later.
I filed one for my client just before Christmas using HMRC CT600 software and it worked okay.

If it does not work, call the technical help line on Monday.

I hope this is helpful and answers your question.

If you have any other questions, please ask me before you rate my service – I’ll be happy to respond.

Gavin, thanks for your reply.

Good luck and have a pleasant weekend.

By the way, did you put the figures in boxes AC58/AC59 as positive or negative as all figures in top section of balance sheet should be posted as positive.
