I shall be retiring in April this year (2015) I shall have my old age pension and a BT pension of approximately £7000. per annum. This is being done as my mother needs a full time carer due to dementia, what percentage of tax will I pay and if I claim carers allowance is that taxed as well? I will be 64

Is the figure of £7,000 just the BT pension? If so, do you know how much state pension you will receive? Will it be the basic amount of £115.95 per week?
