Sometimes, a retiree can stay within their former employer's private medical scheme in which case the taxable benefit will remain as part of the retiree's income. If you won't be in the scheme for the 2016/17 tax year, call the number below and ask the tax office to take the deduction out and issue a new code while you are on the phone. I hope this helps but let me know if you have any further questions.
