I own and let out a property but live at another rental

Hi there, I own and let out a property but live at another rental property at the same time. Is the rent I pay for the rental property a tax deductible expense?
JA: Which tax year is the deduction for?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer. I am here to help you. I am reviewing your question and will respond to you shortly.
Many thanks

Thank you for your question.

Rental payments to live at another property are not deductible against rental income on your property, I'm afraid.

Rent paid on residential let is out of scope of income tax relief.

I hope this is helpful and answers your question.
