Hi there -- I have a 2004 Grad Cherokee 2.7L diesel which is being used approach abroad -- in Mozambique, Africa. The driver reports that after an oil change, the car no longer recognises the ignition key. Local mechanics have used diagnostic tools, but could not find the problem. Is there any way to re-set the ignition? The Jeep is in a remote area -- many hundreds of miles from the nearest proper Jeep service station.Grateful for any help you can offer.Paul (+44 7775 705 884)

I have a Chrysler Grand Voyager 3.3 automatic. It's an 05 plate that I've had for 6 years. Only 45000 miles so it hasn't been hammered. But it lacks oomph. Should there be an overdrive or a turbo that kicks in when you need power? It runs really well but it's more like a 1.6 than a 3.3 V6. Any ideas?

PT Cruiser Cabriolet, RH Drive. All instrument warning lights

PT Cruiser Cabriolet, RH Drive. All instrument warning lights flicker and the warning gong sounds continually. Fuel gauge and temperature gauge register ok, but speedo and rev counter just waver about. The binacle lights also flicker unless the cars main lights are on. Otherwise the car drives perfectly.

Hi I have a 05 Chrysler Voyager LX 2.8 diesel. I has recently

Hi I have a 05 Chrysler Voyager LX 2.8 diesel. I has recently become difficult to start and takes 3 or 4 turns to spark up. Doesn't matter if it is already warm or 1st thing in the morning. It will start 1st time if running and then immediately restarted, but leave it 5mins and it requires a few turns at least? The garage have looked at it and Chrysler suggested that it may be a fuel pump housing leaking air back into the fuel system, hence taking time to turn over and re-pump fuel into the engine? Anyway my garage are reluctant to change anything, charge me and then the fault remains (they are good like that). They suggested a diagnostic, the guy I took it to was useless and didn't provide any readout of any potential problems. Back to stage 1!

I have a 2007 voyager 2.8crd with poor starting. One week ago

I have a 2007 voyager 2.8crd with poor starting. One week ago my local garage diagnosed only 1 glow plug was working. All glow plugs were replaced starting was good for one day only and I was again back to poor starting again . Took car back to garage who found 2 glow plugs not working again replaced. Starting was again good for 2 days but this morning was again hard to start. From cold it takes 3 or 4 turns to start engine hot start is no problem. It would appear glow plugs are burning out very soon after replacing. My garage is reluctant to replace again or work on car any more. I have only owned car for 2 weeks but receipts for new starter motor and battery point to a previous problem. Help please

Hi Guys. we have a Voyager; 2.8CRD automatic. just off the motorway and the engine just died, not to go again. our local expert plugged his diagnostic (Fluke Bluetooth) into it and decided there was no electrical problem. we disconnected the output pipe from the main fuel pump, when pumping the primer pump, fuel came out, when then cranking the motor, very little fuel came.. should be 300bar!? apparently the only answer is to replace the main fuel pump, this means removing the timing cover, belt, and it looks like a nightmare (air-con collector in the way and no space to work)... is this the only answer or is there an alternative??It is a 2006 year, 2.8CRD Automatic (standard (not Grand)) with around 41,000 miles on the clock are there any electrical connections that would cause the motor to stop and give same result?? I have a sneaking suspicion that there's nothing wrong with the fuel pump and some tiny wire connection somewhere has come adrift and the whole shebang stops!?!?
