I have a 1997 Mercedes C200 Classic (petrol, manual

Hello,I have a 1997 Mercedes C200 Classic (petrol, manual transmission), in good condition, with about 95,000 genuine miles on the clock (FSH, etc). For various reasons, it has been left parked at my home for four years or so. I recently charged up the battery and tried to start it. The engine turns over fine and occasionally it almost springs into life, but never actually starts fully. I would like to get it running and then to sell it (my progressive neurological illness - one of the reasons why I stopped using the car - will make it very difficult for me to drive a large-ish manual gearbox car again). I am not very mechanically minded at all but my thoughts are:-1, Drain the tank of fuel (probably about 1/4 of a tank left), but might it have an anti-siphon device?2, Add some fresh high octane petrol, with an additive to clean the pipes etc (I have bought the additive).3, Spray some starter-spray into the air intake, and start the car.4, If it starts, let it run for a while on the drive, then get it to a garage for a routine service and MoT, then sell it.I'd be grateful for some advice from an expert. Again, please bear in mind I'm not mechanically minded. Thank you.
