ABS Vsc and brake lights on when i changed the brake pads on

Customer Question

ABS Vsc and brake lights on when i changed the brake pads on a toyota alphard hybrid
JA: Do you happen to know the code? Have you tried to reset the computer?
Customer: nope foxwell obd scanner not recognising fault.
JA: What is the model/year of your Toyota?
Customer: sn54tll Toyota Alphard hybrid e4
JA: What year is your Toyota?
Customer: 54 2004-2005
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes going to try and fix it my self. tried obd scanner but it does not detect any faults. put in new rear discs and cleaned front discs. Took to garage with a snap on scanner but it does not recognise the Alphard Hybrid and it is between a Lexus and a Rav-4. Been told i need to take it to a garage with an Autel diagnostic tool. was looking at autel maxilink ML 619 Can on ebay . Snap on saying it could be the ABS pump but i moved the wheel when i was putting brake discs on and i think the steering rack is sending a fault message and needs re aligned.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Brakes working so i have red brake warning light, Yellow vsc warning light on, yellow brake light on and Yellow ABS light on, could i disconnect the battery or short out cg and TS on the OBD socket to reset the steering, think system needs a full reset.

Thank you for using JA.

ABS and VSC are linked because the brakes are used in both systems. Did you unplug any connectors or knock the wheel speed sensor? Check the wiring at the wheels.
