Yesterday I was on a long drive then I stopped off at the services to get food and when I went to start my car it wouldn’t start. It seemed there was power to the battery as lights and that would work. The problem ended up being the alarm system/immobiliser so I disconnected it and then my car would start when I tapped the two wire ends together. Today my car started fine but after a drive I parked it up and then later on I went to try and start it again but it wouldn’t start or crank. The lights still show on the dash.
Assistant: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: All the dash lights are working fine
Assistant: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: 1990 Toyota mr2 turbo
Assistant: Are you fixing your MR2 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Nothing yet as not sure what it could be
Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

Dear customer, what you disconnect was the alarm module? If so, did you disconnect it and then leave it connected or disconnect it and leave it disconnect?
