I was stopped for driving my wifes car without insurance. i

i was stopped for driving my wifes car without insurance . i have fully comp insurance so did my wife all thou i was not named on her licence. i can drive any car on my licence ..the police have offered me 6points and a 300 pound fine or court. i feel i was covered where do i stand legally

Ok. If your policy civets you and you had permission to drive then you don't have to accept the fixed penalty. The matter may go to court and you can show that you had insurance then you are not guilty.
