Driving without insurance because my insurance company had

This answer was rated:

Driving without insurance because my insurance company had cancelled my insurance without my knowledge

How can I help with this please?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I got stopped by the police yesterday for driving without insurance. I have been driving for 4 years and have never driven without insurance. My insurance co cancelled my insurance because they requested proof of my no claim discount which I never received as this was emailed and it went to my junk mail. I believe that something as urgent as a cancellation should have been communicated urgently to me

Are you asking if this is a defence?
