I was caught by police for my child not using booster. He is 138 cms. I have been fined for the child not having seat belt on chest

Hi
I was caught by police.My child had seat belt on his lower abdomen and shoulder buy not on chest. He was not on booster as he is above 135 cms. They said they are going to submit two cases of child not being on car seat/booster and not wearing the seat belt.May I know what would be the process and the penalty in such cases please
