Are you trying to connect bluray player in projector through HDMI cord?

Yes .... HDMI cable with SVGA

HDMI output is digital format and SVGA is analog input so this connection will not establish.
Bluray player has composite video output (yellow jack) that will plug into Video In of projector for video signal and red-white audio out will connected in audio (L+R) input of projector for sound.
I'm sorry, projector is bit old model so we can't hook in bluray through its HDMI output nor projector has component video (red-green-blue) input for higher resolution so have to stay at lowest resolution connection.

If projector doesn't display bluray picture through Video Input then please turn On bluray player without disc inside, press and hold STOP button on its front panel for more than 10 seconds to reset video output at lowest level that would give picture through projector.
