sharp GJ220 tv Help

This answer was rated:

we have bought the new sharp GJ220 tv and can’t figure out how to get it to tune into the sky, it’s all connected and everything.

Thanks for the Question

What sky box do you have please?is it sky plus or just the sky SD?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Its the Sky HD

Well it should be relatively straight forward you connect a HDMI lead from the box to the TV and using the TV remote pick out the input on the TV that the box is connected to so say for example HDMI 1?

Where is it that this does not work out for you doing that?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It is not directly connected to the sky box it was done through cables via Sky men. So I can’t connect a HDMI cable? What else can be done?

The TV must be connected to the box by HDMI

I am not at all sure what you mean about the sky men?did they connect up this box to this TV please?

If they did what was the excuse about not getting sky?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

This is a TV in our bedroom where we can watch Sky on it but the Sky HD box is in the living room, we have the Eye to turn the channels over, but as the TV is new we can’t seem to watch Sky since we connected the Aerial (which I think is how the Sky is transmitted to the bedroom).

I see

Its a second set transmitted signal from the box

Their is a good reason why you are not receiving channels its because the set will be digital with no analogue tuner you see its the analogue tuner that picks up the signal modern sets dont have one because analogue finished ages ago.

You will need a converter and use one of the inputs on the set

I will need to know what inputs you have on the TV so I can look for a converter for you so scart/composite (red/white/yellow) component (red/green/blue)

Let me know pleas
