Is my TV set Ok or do I need to replace it?
Thanks for the Question

Is their any power light lit on the set?is it coming ON

If so is their any sound?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes - the blue Standby light comes on. No sound.

Does the blue light signify that its ON or in STANDBY please?

If its in the ON mode if you press the menu button of the sets own remote control does the menu come up please?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

The blue light indicates Standby Mode - according to the Humax user's manual. I've pressed Menu button (on Humax remote) with blue light on, and blue light off: no menu comes up.

I am assuming you have rebooted the set by unplugging the set from wallpower waiting 5 mins then replugging back in again?

OK so you can get the set out of this standby mode by pressing the remote control and then ON mode is no light?sorry but many sets have different methods of indicating standby or ON and it is important

And I am assuming no sound for either mode, if thats the case then its likely the mainboard is bad, after a few meter checks to confirm that the board would need to be ordered and fitted these smaller sets however in many instances dont warrant this because they are cheap enough to replace.

I am sorry this is not something easier, if you wish to pursue a do-it-yourself repair I am available to help I am not sure though on availibility of boards for this set as Humax is not easy for parts
