Hello and sorry you're having problems. Can you please get me the model number off of the back of the set? How long have you owned it for? Also, are there any signs of life on the set at all currently (power light lit or blinking, No Signal message, etc.)?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

there is no light at all model 39180sm

Thank you. How old is the set please- let than, or over one year?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

it was bought last october

Okay, no signs of life on the set at all typically means the mains fuse has failed, or the power supply board itself. That is why I asked you that. The first thing you would try, is disconnect the set from power, then press and hold the power button on the TV itself (not the remote), for 10 seconds and release. Then plug the set back in, and also check that the power cord is connected tight at the TV as well. Press power once, and see if the set powers up. Try this procedure up to 3 times if subsequent tries do not work. Please reply back and we can proceed.

where is power button

Typically along the side edges of the TV- there should be basic controls- such as power, MENU, Input, etc. If you cannot find them, simply let the set sit unplugged for 30 seconds each tie, and plug it back in, then pres power on the remote.

it still will not work

Okay, is there still NO signs of the power light on the set? Any click sounds when the TV is plugged in or power is pressed?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

no nothing

Okay, this means a fault in the power supply board (no standby/power light means there's no DC voltages being processed by this part). It can be as minor as a fuse on the board- or the board itself has failed. Given the TV is still under warranty (one year parts and labor), you would need to contact the retailer you purchased the set from, and have them start a warranty repair tag on the TV. Opening the set up yourself in any way will void the warranty- and we don't want to do that. I'm sorry for the bad news and wish there were a quick fix. If you need further assistance let me know. Please do not forget to click a POSITIVE RATING before you go- as it's how I am credited for my work. You can follow up at any time, at no additional cost.
