Every time i turn on my freeview box it keeps getting stuck.

Every time i turn on my freeview box it keeps getting stuck. So i turn the whole thing off at the mains wait one minute. Still the same. I dont use it regular and have noticed it doesnt always do what it is supposed to. Any ideas on how i can refresh the box so its like new?
