I have an amazon fire tv stick I have followed instructions but the screen on the TV shows vertical test colours and no signal?
JA: What does your TV screen look like when you try to connect your Fire TV? Is there anything at all displayed?

JA: Is your Fire TV connected to the TV, or is it connected to a power outlet?
Customer: Fire stick is connected to extender, then to HDMI to Scart converter and then to TV

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your fire stick. I know that can be frustrating. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

Can you please remove the power to the stick (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the stick, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

I've done as you asked, the screen on the TV still shows vertical coloured lines and there is a message in a blue box saying no signal
Am unable to get on screen instructions
The computer shows the fire stick as not connected in settings
I suspect that the fire stick itself has failed and needs replacing

Can you tell me which HDMI port on the TV the stick is connected to please?

Fire stick is connected to an HDMI to Scart converter and connected to AV2 on the TV where it's always been AV1 or 3 wont work with the firestick either but works with Cable TV box

Hi
I've tried the firestick on another TV via the converter and straight into a HDMI socket
Both times I get the same response on the screen - "no signal"
I'm assuming that the fire stick is therefore faulty and will go back to the seller - Amazon
Please confirm you have reached the same conclusion
