TV Repair Questions? Ask a TV Technician for Answers ASAP
Hi there, I am Pete and I'll be happy to assist you today.
Which model of Sky box do you have?
Have you ever had a second TV connected to it before?
Ok, a Sky HD box? And it worked previously, so it should still be set up if it hasn't been reset.
So to get the picture on the second TV, try running an auto-tune on that Hitachi TV - it should search for and find all available channels.
Usually it will find the Sky RF output on Channel 68, but it could be different.
Let me know how it works out.

No, RF is Analog. You will not pick up the Sky RF signal on DVT.
Change to Analog TV (or standard 'TV') and then try tuning again.
Change to TV mode, then go to the settings menu and run auto channel scan for analog channels.
Same way as you did for DTV.
Go to Install, then Automatic Channel Scan.
You can try Search, and let me know if that finds it.

Ok, the next step will be to check your signal strength - a TV installer can do this for you, or you can do it yourself using a signal meter like this one:
If you don't already have a meter to check and test the signal, you can buy one or borrow one.
Yes, I suspect the problem is with the signal, and testing will help to confirm this.
Once the problem is confirmed, it will then need to be fixed - the aerial may need aligned, or some cable may need replacing or re-terminating.
