How to find the channel scan menu to retune Sanyo 32 tv

how to find the channel scan menu to retune Sanyo 32 tv please
JA: The Expert will know what to do. Please tell me everything you can so the Expert can help you best.
Customer: go into menu and scroll across to tools etcand nowhere does it say Channel scan or retune ??
JA: Is there anything else the Expert should be aware of?
Customer: says no signal, but with arial into digi box finds all channels, but wont find a signal when arial into TV DIRECT ??

You need to go to the Menu > Install > Search

go into menu and no Install option is coming up ?
Have also tried to get into service menu, no joy that way either, ie Turn Off, hold mute or / Vol- , plug in AND PRESS mute /Vol - repeatedly, no joy with that either way ??

Please do not go to the Service Menu, you can really mess up your TV.

 

What do you see on the Menu when you open it?

menu leads to 4 options, with sub menus, ie Picture, sound, Tools? ( gear wheels) and cable connections, nothing below says re tune or scan etc!

OK, try to go to a channel, then open the menu

also wondering why Digi Box is finding aria signal, but TV is not finding any signal when aial going straight into TV ??

TV HAS BEEN ON CHANNEL 1 when I've tried to do this previously, problem is that it is an old lady that lives a couple of miles away, so not able to get to her tv to sort, while on PC with you

OK, The menu is where you do the channel search, if you do not see that I am unable to help further. I would suggest you use the Digi Box if it works.

Thanks, Digi box is also a HDR recorder, but she does not see why she has to use that as well as TV, and is not a straight forward for her,(An Age Thing) shes nearly 90 !!

This TV may not be compatible with the signals, but the HD Digi Box is, I am in the United States so I don't have much experience with the digital TV signals over there, sorry.

 

Is using the Digi Box an option?

hi Jeff, No worries, TV used to work OK with and without digi box, only when they remasted transmitter ?? and lady should have retuned digi box, but did not. was when problems occurred. Then she lost remote for box, so i GOT

her another remote, truned in digibox, and that was when I could not get TV to work on its own, I did find rescan menu by accident ?? but cannot find it again now I need it !!
