L’m having trouble connecting my Bose system to my Samsung

JA: Hello. How can I help?
Customer: l’m having trouble connecting my Bose system to my Samsung smart tv.
JA: What Samsung model do you have? How old is it?
Customer: l have connected the satellite into the smart box of the tv using hdmi lead then connected an optical lead from the tv smart box to the Bose centre the tv is a year old as is the Bose system just dont use it a lot
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: no the tv sound menu has tv speaker, receiver hdmi and optical. l have clicked on the optical and the sound waves appear as if it is working, but l cannot get any sound
JA: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: thats about it thanks

On your Bose system you'll need to set the Optical as the signal source.
If still no luck then please connect the Bose to the TV smart box using another HDMI cable (but remove optic cable) and make sure you use the HDMI ARC socket on the TV smart box.
