As a TEST/CHECK for me please press the MENU or the HOME button of the TVs OWN remote control (the one that came with the set)does the menu come up or not please?this is just a test exercise

Problem is failed back-lights this is the number 1 issue we have with TVs globally they simply are not upto the job they are arranged in strips just behind the screen and they illuminate the pixels thing is to replace them is very difficult 4 hours work and in 90% of cases writes the set off as costs are high

Follow up your warranty claim the set will have a minimum 12 month warranty, this is a serious issue and they will either replace the set or replace the back-lights
