Customer Question

I had two separate tests for Chlaymdia in last 12 months these some months apart with two negative results, then three to four weeks after sex with a new partner (who had taken a test for Chlaymdia and also received a negative result all be it over seas) I felt discomfort a visual check on my urine displayed white particles floating so I went and was tested. The subsequent test results were negative on all counts except for Chlamydia which was shown to be positive. My question is this last test was taken 22 days after sexual contact with new partner. Previous tests which were as stated clear. Statistically or on the balance of probabilities is it reasonable to assume I have not had chlamydia previously (but it not show on previous tests) as my incubation profile of discomfort falls within the 5 days to three weeks norm.

could two separate properly conducted (by a clinic )tests miss the presence of Chlamydia, if I experience symptoms is it reasonable to assume in most cases with men symptoms show within 5 days to three weeks

May I stress I wish for anonymity as I asked question not knowing this was going to be made available to public please confirm my request for anonymity is going to be respected as you should make this clearer before allowing individuals to ask their questions. Also there has been a long wait prior to any reply is this normal? the fee implies your expert will be qualified to answer the question but I asked at 05.36 and no reply now when it is after 0700 hrs already?

HelloYour personal information is not here. With the current new tests, you are covered. With two negative tests, there is no way you should have chlamydia. OK, so that is an initial answer….Please use reply to expert if you have further questions. When you are ready, please click a positive rating [hopefully excellent].
