I have a Vauxhall Astra 1.9cdi Twin Top with 19' low profiles..
The issue is the tyres seem to blow every time I hit a bump or a kerb.. Is there an alternative ? Also having problems with the roof The dealers have told me a section needs re wiring . Is there a cheaper alternative ?> I dont really want to pay £300 for a re wire

What age is the car?

Are the wheels standard ?

is the suspension standard?


When you wiggle the connection you must have a fault/break in the wire does it look possible to put a new section of wire in their.. as it looks like you have almost found the exact fault yourself without any diagnosis.

The car was bought on 02-04-08
As far as I'm aware these wheel and alloys are a feature on the 'Design Twin Top model
No modifications have been made
The low profiles are not the most comfertable ride though look good but the issue is I've replaced my tyres 5 times since ownership as low profiles are not ideal ( high kerbs. Pot holes And bumps )
