On the Agila A series - You can adjust at the gearbox end because it should be still the old cable clutch just need to locate the clutch lever arm that the cables connects too..on the end dependant on the cable type being 2 cable have an adjuster nut - to adjust the pedal height/bite..but if as you say the clutch is heavy to depress isnt an adjustment fault - its either combination of the either the clutch cables binding or theres a problem with the clutch pressure plate/throw out bearing..there should be warranty on clutches if its prematurely failed then it would/should be covered...
