Customer Question

Hi i have a vauxhall vectra 2006 CDTI 150. And i have error code P2279.i took the car Two differant garages who have looked at my car and have changed the turbo, inlet manifold. Boost soleniod, and have carried out a smoke test and repaired 2 leaks. The egr value is blanked off but now the garages have run out of ideas. And i still have error code P2279 coming up and the car still goes into limp mode when under boost. The car also pulls away very slowly untill 2500rpm. The limp mode light goes off when the car is not under boost. Any ideas? Simon

The last time i seen this was on the Opel with the same engine .

We had a leak on the throttle body gasket was sucking in air .

Remove the throttle body and replace the gasket ring .or spray carb cleaner around the throttle body with the engine running at idle

you notice any change in engine speed then this is where the leak is .

MAF sensor is also been known to trip this code .

Have another smoke leak test and be sure manifold intake gasket etc.
