have a insignia 2009.had a code 4 this morning temperature reading 130.just came out of no where.i have been using the heater and not had the air con on.any ideas please?
Assistant: Do the vents feel cold? Is there a coolant leak?
Customer: vents feel normal.i topped up the coolant but doesn't seem to have leaked although not certain

Customer: just the coolant so far.been thinking of getting AA to take it to vauxhall tomorrow.don't know what to do to be honest

Hi..there..

Sometimes the ECM will turn the A/C off code 4 to take load off the engine if its detects an overheating situation...likely causes id say could be an issue on the coolant system itself either a bad thermostat more than likely here as it not to uncommon to see these fail..failing water pump or the main fans are just not kicking in..all 3 need to be investigated to ensure thats not the case..hope this helps
