If you have another key available, you should first try it. If not, the key you have is not being recognized by the anti theft system. It will need to be programmed. This is something a locksmith can do.
As mentioned earlier, a phone call is not needed. This is just an automated offer by the system.
I understand. But having the theft attempt message means that the key is not being recognized by the system. So either the locksmith forgot to swap the transponder chip, or the new key needs programming.

The programming cannot be done manually. It needs diagnostic equipment.
This will be connected to the car, and then the key is programmed so the anti theft module (immobilizer) accepts it. I will get you some more details on this.
