I have a Yemen chameleon, she has stopped eating, lost muscle

Customer Question

I have a Yemen chameleon, she has stopped eating, lost muscle tone and has stopped climbing. She just stays on the bottom of the vivarium with her tongue poking out of her mouth. I've tried calcium prouder in water via a syringe.

Hello, I'm Dr. Deb.

I recently came online and see that your question about your chameleon hasn't been answered. I'm sorry that you've had to wait so long for a response but if you still need assistance, I'd like to help if I can.
I do have a few questions to ask first, if you don't mind:

1. How long has she been behaving this way?
2. What type of enclosure/tank do you have for her?
3. Do you have a UVB light? If so, is it a florescent tube or compact coil?
a) How old is the bulb,
b) What strength is it?
c) Brand name?
4. Do you have an automister?
5. What are the temperatures in the enclosure?
6. What is her diet?

There may be a delay after I receive your answers since I have to type up a response to you and I may be offline at the time you respond. But I'll get back to you as soon as I can since I'm on the computer some part of every day.

Thanks for your patience. Deb
