Hi,I have just got a 7wk old puppy staff today.and he seems to be working really hard to breathe,he is very fidgety.not keepin still even tho seems to want to go to sleep..he has drank quite alot for the 6hrs he has bin here...all so sneezing sort of...would b very Grateful if u cud give me any advice plz..as he is workin ten to the dozen to breath...many thanks Kristy *****@******.***...07923505907

Hi Kristy, Welcome to JustAnswer. I am a licensed veterinarian and I'll be happy to help. Milo is unfortunately in an emergency condition. When a dog can't breathe well he needs to have oxygen supplementation ASAP while a diagnosis found.

Dr. Barbara :

Milo could have a congenital problem with his heart, he could have a diaphragmatic hernia, he could have pneumonia, he could even have migrating round worms. I recommend that you get him emergency care now. I know that it is very late there, but with his difficulty, without any emergency intervention, I'm afraid Milo won't live until morning!
