HI my 14 dog has a mass detected on san in his bladder .. ther is a little blood in hid urine . All his blood works , renal liver bio chem etc is perfect. Due to his age I do not want to do biopoies .. he is a jack russel /beagle mix.. what would his life expectancy be with just steroids and anti botics
JA: I'll do all I can to help. Some lumps are serious and some aren't. Let's see what the Veterinarian has to say. What is the dog's name and age?
Customer: Eddie .. he is a jack russel / beagle mix. He presented with sligh blood in urine. Blood test all good . but scan shows mass.
JA: How old is Eddie?
Customer: 14 years old .. which is why I do not want to do biopsy or surgery
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Eddie?
Customer: he had liver fuctions problems 18 month ago but that is perfect now

Is he straining to pass urine?

Where is the bladder was the mass? And how big?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
No he is not straining...not sure how said thinks it is in bladder wall

So likely a transitional cell tumor

You can treat with Piroxacam (non-steroidal) and see how that goes-> totally reasonable

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Would this cause bad side effects
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
I do not want him to suffer..and enjoy his time...all his bloods kidney function is excellent and he he running and eating and very lively
the Piroxocam does help at keeping the mass small. :)
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
What would the side effects be of piroxicom

None really

It is like aspirin

Works well and very safe

And cheap!

Did you have more questions?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
