I have given my mouse a walnut and didn't realise they were poisonous for them- what should I do?
JA: I'll do all I can to help. Did you see what your mouse ate?
Customer: about 2 mm of walnut out of a shell
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about your mouse?

It is my understanding that normal brown walnuts pose very little risk, black walnuts (a different variety) are more dangerous.

Either way such a tiny piece is unlikely to cause any harm so I would try not to worry, he should be absolutely fine.
