Hello, our cat fell from our second story window he ran back inside and appeared fine with a scratch on his chin but now has vomited and is growling at us which is unusual for him
JA: I'll do all I can to help. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the cat eat anything unusual?
Customer: No nothing unusual
JA: What is the cat's name and age?
Customer: Kevin and he is 2
JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: I dont think so he doesn't appear to be hurt anywhere

Hello, you are through to  Dr Linda, a UK based vet.

I'm sorry to hear this has happened to Kevin.

A fall like that could cause significant internal injuries such as a diaphragmatic hernia, lung contusions, ruptured bladder etc.

Given his demeanour, he is likely in a lot of pain.

I would want him seen by a vet immediately,

They will check him over and may run some tests such as a blood test and imaging.

He will almost certainly need treatment such as pain relief and anti-inflammatories. If he is in shock, he will also require fluid therapy and possible oxygen.

The sooner he is seen the better.
