We have a 10 month old cocker spaniel and he had a small lump on his head above his ear. Could this be from a tick or something more

Flea treatment was on 1st Sept when he last saw our vet so wasbt there then

Based on information you have provided my best recommendation is to book a hands-on consult actual local vet. I strongly suspect we are dealing with a sebaceous cyst, which is nothing to worry about. But my colleague would have to pop a needle into it and drain the structure, to conclude this.

We wouldn’t class this as an emergency, so see if you can find an appointment in the following 24-72h

If it proves to be a sebaceous cyst, the causes can vary. Usually, a sebaceous gland blocks and create this “pocket” full of sebum.
