OK thanks for that. Whilst chocolate (especially coco power) can be toxic to dogs, a dose of at least 5g of pure coco powder would need to be consumed to give any possible toxicity in a dog of his size . I think it is very unlikely that anywhere near that amount would have been ingested from a few licks of spilt hot chocolate.
