Cat bite abscess heal best when we promptly provide antibiotics and anti inflammatories. If he can go to a private clinic today, that would be best. Many are open until 5pm and won't charge our of hours fees.A consult, antibiotics and anti inflammatories usually costs about £70 (cheaper if you opt for tablets rather than an injection). At home, we can help by removing any pus and bathing the lesion with salt water. We should protect his face from rubbing with a buster collar. He needs to stay in when wearing it.He should also be given warm and tempting wet food such as mashed chicken and white fish.
