My 8 year old Rottweiler has become limp and keeps sitting

Customer Question

My 8 year old Rottweiler has become limp and keeps sitting down and lying down he seems like he’s had a funny turn.I only noticed it yesterday when I got home from work and all last night he’s been the same. His front and back legs seem wobbly and he looks bloated but I don’t know whether that’s because he’s tucking himself up
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How has the Rottweiler's appetite been? Any changes in his stool?
Customer: since being home last night he had two treats off me and dad said he’s had his normal feed yesterday. He’s not been the toilet as of yet
JA: Could he have eaten something unusual?
Customer: possibly but I’m unsure as I haven’t been home. Next door had a birthday party in the garden and I’m unsure whether he’s junped off his bench he sissy on and hurt himself or if they’ve fed him or he’s ate something funny. My brother said he’s ate grass and was sick
JA: What's the Rottweiler's name?
Customer: Milo
JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know about Milo?
Customer: no no health issues or anything he’s just really big and does hurt himself when he jumps off things sometimes

Thank you, that has downloaded. The gums do seem pink but I'm a bit concerned about the red patches which could be ulcers.Has he had a cough?
Has he recently loss any muscle over his hind legs?
Customer: replied 18 days ago.
No no cough he has dental sticks daily and his breathe seems reasonable. One of his hind legs had a torn ligament on the elbow he done that years ago. We was advised for him to have surgery but it wasn’t guaranteed to be successful and in result he could end up without a back leg which was costing us thousands to which we decided to leave it as he didn’t seem in pain at all just wasn’t able to run aswell as he used to or jump however we’ve had new neighbours and I’m wondering whether her dogs in season and milos trying to get over the fence jumping and hurt himself. Both milos mum and dad who were ours suffered with arthritis. Like I mentioned before he’s really big for a Rottweiler and he’s heavy, which I think sometimes he forgets and hurts himself. But today he seems in a lot of pain

Perfect Thankyou

Milo's signs are a red flag and I'd want him seen today. We'd worry for e.g. exacerbated arthritis, a slipped disc, idiopathic vestibular disease, an unseen toxin ingestion, internal bleeding etc.The vet will examine him and may run some tests such as a blood test and imaging. His treatment will depend on what is going on and may include e.g anti inflammatories and pain relief.
