My dog has eaten a zapain, 500mg paracetamol and 30mg codeine
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How much does the dog weigh?
Customer: hes a small jack russel mix I think about 5-10kg
JA: When was this? Has he thrown up since eating the paracetamol?
Customer: I’ve just entered the room and found the packet on the floor with one missing and bitten
JA: And what's the dog's name and age?
Customer: He’s called bud and he’s 3 years old
JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know about Bud?

My primary concern is the 500 mg of paracetamol.  500 mg/5 kg = 100 mg/kg and significant liver and hemoglobin toxicity can be seen at 75 mg/kg.  Bud needs to be decontaminated by his vet who can induce vomiting with an injection of apomorphine or eye drops containing ropinirole.
