Hello, you are through to Dr Linda, a UK based vet with 10 years of clinical experience.I'm sorry to hear this and appreciate your concern for your 2 cats.To confirm, they are eating less than usual and losing weight?
Are they now under weight?
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
My lady is under weight

Muezza is now under weight? Ok.

Has she had any signs such as vomiting, diarrhoea, bloating, lethargy or excess thirst?

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Both are very active and last week she had diarrhoea just for 1 day
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Tht was due to coconut oil tht I had rubbed on her paw
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
I was feeding them Me O food back in India
Customer: replied 14 days ago.

Oh sure...will b waiting

If she is off her food and losing weight but has not other signs, there is a concern that there could be an underling medical issue such as gingivitis, excess gastric acid production or chronic nausea.

Even if a cat is stressed or has had a recent big change (like moving countries) we would not expect them to stop eating to the point they are under-weight.

Due to this, it is advisable that she sees a vet, to check her over and perhaps run some tests  such as a blood test, to check for any underlying health issues.

Food wise, I would use a palatable and sensitivity diet such as Hills I/D. We should feed it little and often and use a slow feeder bowl if she tends to gobble the food quickly.

It is worth giving a course of probiotics, in case her gut flora is imbalanced.

Do also ensure she is up to date with her wormer.

Oh ok..even I was thinking for regular health chck up..but I don't think thy have any health issues...bcz thy are active..it might be bcz of country n climate change
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Will get pro fiber for gut

I agree, a health check is a sensible option here and fingers crossed there is no health condition.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Month back I have applied Johnson spot on for de worming
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
N I try to feed her grounded pumpkin seeds
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
On the food..is it ok. If I am giving them different brand fud daily
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Also excessive hair loss n my lady keeps meowing a lot at night
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
N when I wake up n feed her..she is happy

Johnson wormer, in my experience, is not always effective.

So I'd consider using Panacur, to rule out internal parasites.

We need to offer the same food each day, changing diets abruptly can cause a stomach upset.

Given the meowing and fur loss, a vet check is absolutely the next step here.

Any supplements to be given
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Oh ok

In this instance, probiotics and a sensitivity diet would be all I'd advise offering for now.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
I was checking on Hills digestive wet fud..these r in chunks and thy r very fuzzy when it comes to chunks
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Thy like only pate kind of fud which thy can just lick
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Also I haven't heard gud review of Hills
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
On dry fud..I am giving them Purina Go Cat kitten

Hills and Royal Canin are both excellent pet foods, with a lot of scientific backing.

The above is a mousse that can work well short term, particularly for those who are under weight.

If they are used to having Go Cat, this could be continued.

Ok
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Tht really takes away much of my worry..thank u so.much

Not at all!

Wishing them both all of the very best.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Wht to do abut night meowing.. literally going sleepless
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Also one last question..we are planning for pregnancy..will cat fur effect either me while pregnancy or anything post delivery

Meowing can be a sign of boredom or frustration, so ensure she is getting lots of physical and mental stimulation during the day.

If she has not been spayed, it could be her calling for males.

Are you saying you are planning a pregnancy (rather than her)? If so the main risks are Toxoplasmosis and worms.

Please see below:

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/toxoplasmosis/

It is worth talking to your GP when you become pregnant.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Thy are neutered and complete indoor cats
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Sure..will talk to them

In this case, the meowing is more likely reflecting boredom and a desire for interaction and simulation. So the more things we can do with them e.g. mini training sessions, 'find the treat't, cat tree climbing, food puzzles, laser chasing etc. the better.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Toxoplasmosis- how can I take care of myself n house so we don't get effected by this
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
this is helpful..infact we play at night on laser chasing..will get them food puzzles

There is a little 'how to avoid toxoplasmosis' window in that link I sent.

It is all about good hygiene and having someone else clean the litter trays (a welcome break!) or using gloves.

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
U made my day..thank u so so much
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Tht gives me some relaxation
Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Let me try RC / Hills

Happy to help and stay safe :)

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Sorry to bother you again...will RC help regain thr hair growth ?
Unless we identify the cause for fur loss (stress, parasites etc) it's unlikely it will resolve from a diet change alone.
