i have a nikon d7100 and the lense is a sigma af 24-70/2.8 if dg hsm f/nikon.
the lense does not work in auto,what am i doing wrong.

I am Himadri..

1. Turn off the camera.
2. Clean the lens contacts by gently rubbing them with a pencil eraser
or soft cloth. Be careful that you do not let any debris fall into the
camera body.
3. Reattach your lens.
4. Turn on the camera.
5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture and let me know the result...

Unfortunately what you have described indicates that there is a problem seems to be with your sigma lens that's why you are facing this type of problem.

Is your lens under warranty ?

sorry for not getting back to you,have been on the phone with firm i bought it from,have got to send camera and lenses back.
