Kodak EasyShare C310

I am thinking that the memory card may be part of the issue. Did the problem occur befor you changed to a new mwmory card or after?

What is the size (capacity) and type of memory cards (SD, SDHC....etc.) that you are trying to use?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

problem was with old memory card SD 128MB Tried new one but still had same problem

The problem with this situation is that the C310 model, because of its design, cannot use memory cards that are larger than 512MB due to file configuration incompatabilities. Your original card most likely failed due to age, which will cause the symptom that you described. Inserting a modern card of 1GB or 2GB will be erratic and 4GB SDHC cards will definitely fail this way.

One of the best places to purchase the smaller 512mb SD cards is on Please click on or copy and paste the links below into your browser.

Thanks for your patience. Maybe time for new camera!!

You are quite welcome and quite correct. Just about any new "point and shoot" camera out today, at around £75, will, far outperform, the older C310.
