I've got a OMD em1 - it's got the latest software update.

Customer Question

I've got a OMD em1 - it's got the latest software update. When I attach it to the camera up- date with the 12 - 40 ml pro lens on it I can see the lens and update the lens software. I've also got a 40 - 150 pro lens and the 1.4 extender. But when I attach the camera with either of these on the lenses are not reconsider. The camera knows there isa lens but reports it as 1.00 in the up dates

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Perhaps the lenses simply *are* ver. 1.00. After all, the lenses don't have a means of being 'updated' like a software-containing or software-running smart/computerized device like a digital camera.

Ver. 1.00 in a manufactured item would simply mean there were no revisions in it from the first-released type of the manufactured item. Or that the manufactured item is the first-released type, in short.

Interesting idea but too vague to be helpful. The 12-40 lens was recognised immediately and I've taken an update for it. Thanks for trying I'll put in the time to call Olympus
