Hello - I have a Panasonic HX-DC3 camcorder which has decided to show the images and menu display on the screen upside down. Had this just over a year and has never done this before. Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Angela
Hi. My name is*****’m a camera repair technician with over 25 years in the business and I'll be glad to help you with your question today.

The image inverter is for those times you want to point the camera in your direction and is controlled by a switch in the hinge mechanism. This can either be a mechanical switch with a broken tab or an electronic switch, controlled by a magnet. The latter has a corresponding component on the circuit board that may need replaced. Neither of these is really a user serviceable problem and should be repaired by a qualified technician. You may want to check locally for a camera repair shop in your area, or, if you need assistance finding a shop, please let me know and I'll locate one for you.
