i have a Sanyo VMD90R camcorder which has not been used for several years, i purchased new batteries and rplaced the small disc battery, when i switch it on the screen lights up and says low battery and switches off within seconds, i have tested the batteries on and off load and they seem ok, what else could be wrong. i have tried the eject of the cassette and that works ok
Hi there and welcome
Can you remove the batteries please and the let the Camcorder sit for 10 minutes.
then connect the batteries, turn it on and tell me how it now functions please.

same thing comes on for a fe seconds with low battery sign then switches off
Thanks It is the internal mainboard that has faulted. Will be the voltage regulator or a capacitor I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the camcorder to have this replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you. I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know. And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
