I have a DMC-G1 and use the flip out screen a lot. Just recently it started showing the image upside down. It sometimes corrects itself but now it is permamant. I take photos of horses feel and place the camera close to or on the ground and need to see what I am taking - hence I need the screen to work as I angle it 45 degrees to take photos. Please help?
JA: Are you experiencing the same issue in different shooting modes, or just one?
Customer: I only use the same mode but yes, the same issue if I change mode
JA: Has there been any damage to your camera recently (e.g. from dropping it or getting it wet)?
Customer: no, nothing and I had the flip out screen replaced a couple of years ago as it stopped working for no reason then.

Can you remove the battery please then hold the shutter button down for 60 seconds then release.

Wait 5 minutes, put the battery back in and turn it on.

i found the instructions online. it didnt work - no change

I am sorry to hear that.

It is the internal mainboard in the camera that has faulted.
