I have a Pentax SF7 SLR (K mount lenses) but the wind

This answer was rated:

I have a Pentax SF7 SLR (K mount lenses) but the wind mechanism jams. I'm thinking of moving to digital with a Pentax K7 or a K70. How will my lenses behave. There is a Pentax 1.4 50mm, a Pentax AF 28 - 80 Zoom, and a Sigma AF 70 - 210 Zoom. If all is well I could afford the K70 Body only, otherwise it will be a K7 with a basic zoom lens fitted. I also have a Cobra 700AF Flash; will that be compatible?
JA: Has there been any damage to your camera recently (e.g. from dropping or from dirt getting in the lens)?
Customer: No. the only thing faulty is the film wind mechanism.
JA: What kind of battery does your camera use? Have you tried taking out the battery and replacing it?
Customer: Am I talking to a robot here? My question is about lens compatibility between a Pentax SF7 SLF and a Pentax K7 or K70 DSLR .
JA: Anything else you want the Camera Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

Your likely to need a coupling ring to allow the classic K lenses to fit on a DSLR, the disadvantage is obviously auto focus and will not work as one the DSLR this works by a motorised drive which the classic lens are not equipped with.

However in terms of picture quality and performance you should not have any issues, though the winding mechanism will still pose you problem if not repaired.

May I have a simple but comprehensive answer to my simple question on lens compatibility of k-mount lenses from a Pentax SLR fitted to a Pentax DSLR? (Pentax SF7 to Pentax K7 or K70)

Please restate your simple question otherwise please see above response.

I will restate my simple question by cutting and pasting the relevant words from my last input :- what is the "compatibility of k-mount lenses from a Pentax SLR fitted to a Pentax DSLR? (Pentax SF7 to Pentax K7 or K70)" The one answer I did get said that I may need a "compatibility ring". Well, do I? And how much would it cost? etc etc. Your web site could be called anything but user-friendly. And the longer these transactions continue, the more my frustration levels increase. Have a good look at your over-complicated interface, simplify it. and make it easier for the layman to use. I will manage with it from now.

Understood the DSLR listed (SF7, K7 and K70) uses the K fitting so your old lenses will connect you just need to make sure you set the DSLR to manual mode, and you do not need to use a adaptor ring.
