Hi, I have a V40 - late 2004 model 1.8 petrol manual and I cannot get it to stay in 5th gear, it grinds when you release the clutch pedal and pops out of gear, the 5th gear is directly above the reverse gear and its not a problem with gear linkage bushes, any ideas
if only 5th gear problem than is gone synchronizer rings are bad not making good smooth shift or holding it in gear so trans shop will have to open trans fix that replace the rings with new and it will fix problem
